OTHM Professional Diploma in Tourism & Hospitality

Course Description:

The OTHM Diploma is suitable for people who have passed the OTHM Certificate (or equivalent) or who is already working at supervisory or management level. The knowledge gained in the six modules of this course should immediately enhance your career prospects.

Course Modules:

Part I

1. Tourism Marketing and Management

2. Hospitality Marketing and Management

3. Human Resource Management

Part II

4. Tourism and Hospitality Operations Management

5. Financial Management and Information Systems

6. Customer Relations and the Business Environment

Each module requires 45 hours of classroom teachings.

Assessment: Each module is assessed by a three hour written examination.

Intake: January, April, July and September

Study mode: Full time

Duration and hours: 1 year, 15 to 21 hours.

Progression:

On passing the OTHM Diploma Members will be eligible to be considered for OTHM Higher Diploma course or ABE Diploma in Travel, Tourism & Hospitality or Holders of OTHM Diploma can apply for Associate Member status

Entry Requirement:

- Holders of OTHM Certificate or

- Equivalent academic qualifications or

- Mature students with a minimum of 8 year\'s relevant experience including 3 years management experience
